Today we are going to take a look at and I'll also show you how to install the etrailer soft tonneau cover here on our 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. Whenever any of my friends are looking into getting a tonneau cover, this is gonna be the first one that I would recommend just as an entry level starting point, because the first thing they want to do is just cover the interior of their bed. If you don't need to get too fancy, you want something that's solid, offers awesome protection, this is the way to go. It is gonna be a bit more affordable compared to other tonneau cover options, but just because it is affordable doesn't mean it lacks in features. The main part to a soft tonneau cover is that it won't take up much space on your truck bed. more

Now, this will be a great option for anyone who's looking for something that's gonna be relatively pretty low profile, giving you more of a sleek design overall, and it's gonna offer you that extra protection still, since this is a hard cover. Like I just said, this is a pretty tough tonneau cover. (knuckles knocking) As you can hear, it is pretty sturdy. It's gonna have a weight capacity up to 450 pounds, so that's gonna be great if you do need to put some things on top of here, great if maybe you walking by, you need to throw your tool bag up somewhere, you have that option, or your groceries, too. And this is gonna have a fiberglass core to it and this reinforced plastic on top. more

Hi, everyone. Aiden here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install this Bestop EZ-Fold Soft Tri-Fold tonneau cover on our 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 2500. So this option from Bestop is going to be a soft tonneau cover constructed of a vinyl with some aluminum slats in the middle to add support and structure. This is gonna be a pretty basic option and not the best for security because that vinyl material could be cut through with a knife. The way I always talk about it to people is if you are the type of person that keeps the valuables in your truck bed all the time, like tools, then you probably want to go with a hard cover. more

Today we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Pace Edwards JackRabbit Full-Metal Retractable Hard Tonneau Cover with the Explorer Series Rails on our 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 2500. So, the first thing to note is that this is a retractable canister-style cover, and you'll see that canister in just a second. But the benefits to that (knocks) that hard cover is that it's gonna be a lot more secure. And if you're the type of person that keeps tools or something valuable in your truck bed full time, I always recommend a hard cover because that's gonna be the most theft resistant. That's gonna be a great option for you if you're looking for something that's gonna add a clean finish to the back of your bed and you wanna keep the items in the back of it protected too. So let's check it out. So the tonneau cover itself is going to be made out of aluminum, and it's gonna have this black vinyl top to it. I'm a fan of that black vinyl top. It really makes for a clean finish, and if you are a fan of softer tonneau covers, but you want something that's gonna be more secure, this is really nice, because if anyone comes by and tries to cut this open, they won't be able to, because we do have that aluminum bottom to it. more

Hi everyone, Aiden here with etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at, and showing you how to install this Mountain Top EVOm retractable hard tonneau cover on a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. Any tonneau cover is gonna offer a couple of different benefits, it's gonna protect all the stuff underneath from the elements a bit, not all tonneau covers are perfect, you might still get some water intrusion, but it's gonna help quite a bit, and I think this one does a great job at it. When it's closed, it'll help our fuel economy by reducing drag, and more important than anything, I think it offers security, what is out of sight is also out of mind, so all of your stuff inside the bed is going to be much safer underneath the tonneau cover, and especially a hardcover, because the soft ones are very easy to just cut through with a knife, whereas this one is constructed of a series of aluminum slats that are interlinked together, so you can't even cut through the seams, everything underneath when paired in conjunction with your locking tailgate is going to be locked up and safe. And one of the things that makes this Mountain Top tonneau cover unique is the t-slot accessory rails that run the length of the bed, so you can mount up crossbars here, and pair other accessories with this. Now, Mountain Top's not the only company that does this, both Retrax and Pace Edwards have options that are very similar to this, and we'll talk about, and compare the options a little bit more going forward, but if you don't have any need for the t-track, then I'd say you can just go with a regular retractable cover, and you don't need to pay for this feature, but personally I think this adds a lot of function, and if you're looking for it, Mountain Top does a great job at integrating it. more

Thing I like most about it is that once you pull that string or that cable, roll it back to the back cab of your truck, you secure it up here at the back of your truck, It reveals your fifth wheel or your gooseneck or whatever you have in your bed all while safely securing it underneath the hard cover. Hi, everyone, Aiden here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install this Leer Tri-Fold Hard Tonneau Cover on our 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. So when looking for a tonneau cover, you can separate them into two main categories, the type of cover it is and the material. This one is going to be a hard cover as opposed to a soft cover, which is great because it's going to be a rigid structure, maximum security, so no one can come up with a pocket knife, cut it open and get to your stuff inside. It's gonna be a thick fiberglass reinforced plastic and be able to support a weight capacity of 450 pounds evenly distributed so what that kind of translates to is you've got your hands full of groceries, a cooler, a tool bag, anything like that, you can set it on top of the cover while you walk around and open up your tailgate to get access to open it up so you don't have to set anything on the ground. This can support a little bit of weight. more

Today, we're going to check out the RetraxONE MX on our 2018 Chevy Silverado.Right away, you can see it's a hard tonneau cover, but it's not one of the ones that pulls in three pieces and leans against the back of your truck. It actually slides back into a canister that's all self-contained back here. So it takes up a little bit of your bed room, but you don't have anything leaning against the back of your window here, and it's really easy to slide in and out.Along with the ease of use, you have security. It's got a built-in lock up here at the top on the tonneau cover itself, not to mention in combination with the lock on the tailgate of the truck, people aren't going to get in there. I mean, nothing's perfect, they could still smash with a hammer or something to get in there, but this is going to keep everybody honest and out of your truck.Using the two keys included, let's go ahead and unlock the tonneau cover. more

And this is what our tonneau cover looks like when it's installed. It's a soft vinyl tonneau cover that has support beams that run across it, so you can still set some items here on top. Jake: Hey guys, Jake here with eTrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Truxedo TruXport Soft Roll Up Tonneau Cover on your 2019 Chevy Colorado. With a soft tonneau cover that has the capability of rolling up, it's going to be very convenient to get it in place to keep those items that are on the inside of your bed out of the weather and protect them from theft. Another feature about these that people really, really like, I've read a couple of reviews, is that it's not going to be the panel style hard tonneau cover that is going to fold up into panels and it's either got to store in the first third of your bed or straight up in front of your back window. When this tonneau cover is rolled up, it's going to sit in a nice little roll about six inches in the front of your bed, at your back window, and you're still going to be able to see out of your rear view mirror and use your bed as if you don't have a tonneau cover at all.The cover is going to have a vinyl construction with a double stitching here on the end and on both sides. What's nice about this vinyl that they use on this cover is that it's going to be a no maintenance vinyl. more

This is going to be a retractable tonneau cover. That's going to have a hard surface on it to be able to protect your contents from the weather and from theft.Before we go into too many details, I want to go ahead and show you how it works. You're going to need to open up your protective cover here, push the push button unlock, it'll unlatch your locking mechanism on the inside. And then you can use this as a handle to push your cover open. You see it retracts, and it is going to be spring loaded so that it's going to help you to get it open and close.Now, when you lock up the contents on the inside of your bed is simply pushed down. more

Now this cover's gonna do a great job at protecting your truck bed and any cargo on the inside from the elements.The cover itself is a leather grained textured vinyl, and it has four support beams in the middle. You can see in here, right here. And it's gonna be . All four are gonna be bowed towards the middle, and that's gonna help prevent any pooling of water in the middle of the cover, so when water falls on the cover, it's just gonna run off the sides.There's a foam seal all around the perimeter of the cover.
